Active Hope Workshop – Saturday, April 13, 9-4 (half-day option available),
Sponsored by Addison County Interfaith Climate Action Network, held at
Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Society, Middlebury, VT
OPEN TO ALL
Embodying and embracing both our thoughts and feelings can help result in clearer thinking and empowered activism in the face of the many changes we are now living through. The Work That Reconnects offers group and individual activities—some quietly contemplative, some full of movement, and some rich in conversation—that help empower us to nourish our inner wisdom and courageously bring our gifts more fully to the world. Developed over the past 30 years by Joanna Macy and colleagues, practices experienced in the workshop help us experience our connections with our whole selves, our communities, and all of this glorious, fully interdependent, living Earth, so that we each may be nourished and motivated to play our unique parts in co-creating life sustaining cultures. Facilitators Marc Lapin and Kristen Andrews collaborate to lead us through the flow of gratitude, honoring pain, seeing with fresh eyes, and going forth. For more information, contact Marc lapin345@gmail.com. To register email or call Heidi Willis redsprings@myfairpoint.net (802) 352-4327. $10 donations accepted for contribution to local charitable organizations.
