Parallel Justice for Victims of Crime is a joint program of Burlington's Police Department and the Burlington Community Justice Center. We provide support and services to victims and others impacted by crime in Burlington, and the main goal of our program is to help people feel safe and connected to their community.
Our condolences to residents and neighbors of Clarke and Grant Streets in light of the recent homicide in your neighborhood. We imagine that residents and neighbors are rather shaken up.
Parallel Justice will be holding space at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Burlington (at the top of Church St.) on Thursday, April 4th at 6pm for neighbors, community members, and the victim's loved ones to come together for support, resources, information, and connection about this crime and its impacts.
For more information about this event and the Parallel Justice Program, please reach out to Kim Jordan, Parallel Justice Specialist at the Burlington Community Justice Center, at 264-0764 or kjordan@burlingtonvt.gov.
Again, on behalf of Parallel Justice, we are sorry for this loss in your neighborhood and our community.
