As part of this year's Vermont Public Philosophy Week, Philip Ackerman-Leist, dean of the School of the New American Farmstead at Sterling College, and Sterling College alumna Theresa Snow, founder and director of Salvation Farms, will participate on a panel at the Highland Lodge in Greensboro on Sunday, March 31 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. to discuss "Fair Share: Visioning an Inclusive Regional Food System."
This free event is a conversation that covers the foundation of an equitable and just food system, and where we are headed and how you can help. Discussion topics include food access, food justice, food waste, food as medicine, and the right to poison-free and toxin-free food for all involved from production to consumption. Snacks (made with gleaned local vegetables) and cider will be served.
Public Philosophy Week is modeled on a week-long celebration of philosophy in Barcelona. The broad goal is to make philosophical approaches more relatable and accessible to everyone. More info on Public Philosophy Week:
