Ilsley Public Library Film Screening: the Color Purple

Past event
Mar 28, 2019, 6 to 8:30 PM

The Middlebury Community Classic Film Club invites you to attend a screening of "The Color Purple," the second film in our new series on courage. It is the inspiring account of an African American woman who struggles against racism and abuse to finally prevail. It is also the story of a community facing those same challenges. Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover, and Oprah Winfrey, bring Alice Walker's 1982 Pulitzer Prize winning novel vividly to the screen. Free screening, coffee, and cookies. Location: Ilsley Library Community Meeting Room.
