Join us for three days of classic and lesser known musical films, all introduced and MC'd by world-renowned composer and musical film historian Neil Brand. The The 2019 Global Roots Film Festival will focus on the development of musical films and the role they played in the history of cinema as a whole. This festival is in partnership with the Lyric Theatre Company that will produce a special live event for the festival. Neil Brand will also lead a special interactive program for the whole family about the role of sound in silent comedies.
