"The History of Spices." Spice expert Hank Kaestner will speak about the search for spices, and how that search has been a motivator of world exploration and commerce. Following explorers' footsteps, Kaestner will trace the discovery and usage of spices from the Roman Empire through the 20th century. This program will be presented at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center on Barre St. at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27.
