BALE's Resilience University sponsors a Sock Darning Workshop!
Date: 4/14/2019
Time: 3:00 - 5:00 PM
Location: The BALE Commons, 35 S. Windsor Street, South Royalton, VT
Instructor: Josie Carothers
Workshop Description:
We all have thrown away wool socks we love because of a hole in the heel or toe. The rest of the sock is still good. There is an easy, time-honored way to "heel" this problem--it's called darning! Darning is very, very easy. You don't have to do it perfectly. All you need is a bit of yarn in any color you choose or have on hand, and a darning needle. That's it! At this workshop, we will provide darning needles for you to take home and some yarn; you bring your holy socks and a matching yarn color if you care to match. We'll have a few extra holy socks if you want to learn but don't have any socks needing repairs.
Cost: Free workshop, Donations to BALE accepted.
