NU Writers Series: Jon Glascoe

The Norwich University Writers Series welcomes screenwriter and producer Jon Glascoe to campus on Thursday, March 28th, at 4 pm in the Kreitzberg Library Multipurpose Room.

Jon Glascoe is a writer for the screen and stage, a director and producer, and the cofounder of Cypress Films, Inc. He wrote the script for the TV movie adaptation of Dylan Thomas' A Child's Christmas in Wales and has written, produced, and/or directed numerous film and television projects, including Sodbusters, Nuremberg, The Sound and the Silence, Cherry, Julian Po, and the TV movie adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.'s classic short story "Harrison Bergeron."

Glascoe's current projects include adapting his screenplay Will, a story about Shakespeare, for the stage, and developing for Broadway a musical adaptation of H.G. Wells' The Invisible Man, which he co-wrote.
Prior to cofounding Cypress Films, he worked at The Nation magazine, wrote and produced the early cable talk show NIGHTCAP: Conversations on the Arts and Letters, and served as Director of National Programming at WTTW Public Television in Chicago.
