Announcing a unique musical & film event Friday evening in Essex and Saturday in Montpelier: A collaboration of the Green Mountain Film Festival, the Montpelier Chamber Orchestra, composer Erik Nielsen and his students. Come listen to new works scored for silent films – you'll hear new orchestral compositions as live soundtracks to the movies "The Metropolis", "La Glu", and "Prince Achmed". The orchestra will also perform Aaron Copeland's, "Music for the Movies."

Both shows start at 7 PM. Friday at Essex Cinemas (T-Rex), Saturday at VCFA Chapel in Montpelier. $12-15 adults and kids 12 and under are free. This is a family-friendly event.
