One of America's top experts on U.S. European relations, Mr. Sloan is founding director of the Atlantic Community Initiative, nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council of the United States and Visiting Scholar in Political science at Middlebury College. He is retired, following a career of government service at the Congressional Research Service, the CIA, and as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force.
