Repair Cafe at Montpelier Senior Center

Past event
Mar 30, 2019, 12 to 4 PM

Got a broken thing you'd always wanted to get fixed? A beloved lamp, or jacket in need of repair? Hang on to it until March 30th, for the central Vermont Repair Cafe, noon - 4 pm at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center, 58 Barre Street in Montpelier!

The Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District, Onion River Exchange, the Hunger Mountain Coop and the Montpelier Senior Activity Center have partnered to bring this fix-it event to the area.

Our volunteer repair people can fix: furniture and wooden items, clothing and textiles, mechanical items, jewelry, electronics, tools and computers, plus more! Also, we have a massage therapist coming just to fix stressed out backs.

We will be open until 4 pm, but will stop accepting new items for fixing at 3 pm so our volunteers have enough time to complete the jobs before them. We'll have good eats, food donations from over a dozen local venues, raffles, a literature table with more repair info, and a "take apart" table for children ages 1 - 100.

This event was organized by the Central Vermont Repair Cafe Committee, with the anchor partners mentioned above. If you'd like to see more events like this in our community, please contact repaircafevt@gmail.com or talk to us at the event on March 30. We welcome new participants!
