Please note that the 5th grade PREP class (religious education) from St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Shelburne has been working hard on a Poverty Awareness Campaign. We have learned that 1.3 billion people in the world live in extreme poverty which is defined as living on less than $1.25/day. 22,000 children die every day from poverty. Please help us raise funds for the CRS Rice Bowl Project to battle poverty. Rice Bowl raises funds for clean drinking water, seeds and training for farmers, and health exams and treatment for kids. 75% of funds raised support these programs around the world and 25% of funds raised will address poverty on a local level. Please support the kids by stopping by their Poverty Awareness Campaign Bake Sale on Sunday, March 31st at 12:15pm at the Parish Hall of St. Catherine of Siena and later that day at 1:15pm at Shelburne Market. Thank you!
