"Levi Allen: Ethan's Black Sheep Brother," Sunday, March 24, 2019, 1:30 p.m., Winooski Historical Society, Champlain Mill. Lecture by Vincent Feeney, author numerous books and articles; former UVM history professor.

Levi Allen was an outsider within his family. He supported Ethan during the taking of Ticonderoga, but the two fell out during the American Revolution. Levi was a Loyalist. Levi's other famous brother, Ira, was one of the earliest Yankee settlers of the region. In the 18th C. he built a sawmill at Winooski Falls. His home is currently occupied by the Winooski Block.

The presentation is free, open to the public, and sponsored by the VT. Humanities Council.
