Hello everyone,
I have been in discussion with VTrans about this past summer's paving project on Route 103 and I am excited to announce they have agreed to a public information meeting for all the affected towns. There will be representatives from VTrans as well as from Pike Industries, the main contractor for the project. The meeting will start with them addressing the most common questions they have received about the project. Essentially, what went right, what went wrong, what they will do going forward to make sure we don't end up in this situation again, and what the plan is in the immediate future for our roads. There will be time for other public questions after.
The meeting will be April 1st, 6pm-8pm in the Heald Auditorium of the Ludlow Town Hall.
My thinking is that Ludlow is fairly central to the towns most affected, but the meeting is intended for ALL the towns affected. My hope is that everyone with questions and concerns about the project feel welcome and are able to attend, whether they live in one of the affected towns or just drive on Route 103 a lot. That being said the meeting is intended for discussion of the Route 103 project specifically, not issues with other state roads or projects. On that topic VTrans has a lot of information I hope they are able to convey so I will be doing my best to make sure we stay focused on that topic as much as possible.
If you have any specific questions you want answered, you can send them to me ahead of time and I will forward them to VTrans and/or Pike and ensure they are properly addressed in their prepared remarks.
