World Water Day Celebration

The Champlain Basin Education Initiative invites the public to celebrate World Water Day at Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center on Thursday, March 21st from 4:00-6:30 p.m. We will exhibit student work from 22 NY and VT K-12 classrooms that was entered into our "Celebrate Water" contest--come check out student writing, art, photography, and videography. Featured speaker Dr. Danielle Garneau, a professor and researcher at SUNY Plattsburgh, will present "Plastics in Lake Champlain: How Can You Help?". The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

(World Water Day was initiated by the United Nations in 1992 to highlight the water crisis facing so many populations around the world.)
