Friends of the Winooski River Presentation with TTJ

Past event
Mar 25, 2019, 5:30 to 7 PM

Michele W. Braun of Friends of the Winooski River will present at the next Transition Town Jericho meeting, on Monday March 25, 5:30 to 7pm at the Jericho Community Center.

Her presentation is: Winooski Watershed: How does Jericho contribute to the health of this vital waterway? A general overview of the watershed and its challenges, some specifics about Jericho's situation in the watershed, and What You Can Do.

Jericho is divided into two watersheds -- the Browns River on the north half of town flows to the Lamoille (which does not have a watershed organization), and Mill Brook on the south half of town flows to the Winooski. Mill Brook is an interesting stream, because in some areas it's very healthy, not impacted by humans, but then it has several spots that do need help.

Free event; refreshments provided. More info at: transitiontownjericho.net
