Lincoln's Deborah Lubar will be performing her one-woman play "A Story's A Story" at Town Hall Theater on April 6 at 7:30 PM.

"Deborah Lubar is the only artist whose work always makes me laugh out loud, always makes me cry, and always makes me glad to be alive. (The Valley Advocate)

"From the throat of a performer like Lubar, words can evoke a world."- (The Boston Globe)

In A Story's A Story, two immigrant women of a hundred years ago meet on the boat coming to America and become first neighbors and then fast friends. Together these two women help each other brave the pain of being perceived as "Other" in cultures which reject those who are different. The play bears witness to the tragedies and celebrates the miracles of the human condition with laughter as well as tears and considers the possibilities for healing and change both within ourselves and a world at the edge.

The performance is a benefit for the scholarship fund of North Branch School in Ripton, with tickets costing anywhere from $15 to $100, with no assigned seating. At: http://www.townhalltheater.org/calendar-and-tickets/ or call 802 382-9222.
