Join WonderArts VT and the Craftsbury Outdoor Center for a special film series about climate change with a focus on food, energy and waste. Shifting away from the traditional doom and gloom narrative, these films highlight actionable steps through personal journeys towards a more sustainable future.
Tuesday the 19th starting at 6:30 (soup at 6) in the COC Touring Center
Come early to enjoy a bowl of soup, and stick around after the film for a casual group discussion led by Elly Ventura, Outreach Manager at Lamoille Regional Solid Waste Management District & Lamoille Soil.
No Impact Man Synopsis
Follow the Manhattan-based Beavan family as they abandon their high consumption 5th Avenue lifestyle and try to live a year while making no net environmental impact, meaning no trash, no electricity, no cars, no toilet paper, no TV, and no buying anything new for an entire year. How do we cope with the constant stress and intermittent crises of such a rigorous way of living? Or, perhaps, when life is pared down, do some things become unexpectedly better and even easier?
