You may have noticed people are getting more and more frustrated with the status quo in this day and age. Legal Observing is an exciting, important way to participate in protests and direct actions that challenge some of the oppressive, corrupt policies that we're struggling to change. Get trained to watch and record police behavior at protests to keep cops accountable, maintain order and increase safety at demonstrations, deter constitutional violations, and provide notes for lawyers to use to defend activists if anyone gets arrested. After the training, you can sign up to be notified of upcoming protests and actions where you can put your new skills to use! This is a great opportunity to meet racial and environmental justice advocates and others working towards socially responsible systemic reform.
