Kids ages 5 - 7 are invited to come see how to identify sugar maple trees, taste some sap, and see how it boils to make real maple syrup. We'll talk about why sap flows and the evaporation necessary for turning sap to syrup. Then, we'll make a craft where the materials change physical form. Finally, we'll practice our measuring by making (and eating) some pancakes with real maple syrup, of course. Please wear clothes and boots appropriate for the weather, as some of our time will be outdoors!
