Amy Oxford Speaks at Sheldon Museum

The third of the Sheldon Museum's "Did You Know?" series presents artist and teacher Amy Oxford tracing the origins of punch needle rug hooking, a craft that started in the1880s, and will go on to discuss its growth and popularity followed by a drastic decline, 1970s Vermont revival, and the current international craze that has swept social media. Amy will offer an opportunity for anyone interested to give the craft a try. Did you know Amy invented her own rug hooking tool and in 2013 started the world's first punch needle rug hooking school in Cornwall, attended by students from all over the world?
