Clarendon's historic society starts each meeting with a designated topic and lets the discussion evolve from there. It always proves interesting. The Wednesday March 20th meeting (6PM Clarendon Town Hall) will start by focusing on a couple of the entries made into our new Mysteries collection. These are items that we haven't been able to quite figure out yet.
If you haven't done so lately, take a stroll through our collections. www.ClarendonVTHistory.org We add new entries on a regular basis and now have the Mysteries collection for the amateur detectives amongst us.
As an aside in the weeks and months to come we plan to add the contents of all of our Annual Town Reports 1865 – 2018 to the new Town Reports collection which for most years currently just shows the covers.
Looking ahead to our April 17th meeting we will have Al Ridlon Sr. talking to us about he and a few others starting up Clarendon's Fire Dept. in the 1960's. That meeting will be held at the Grange Hall in North Clarendon.
We meet the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6PM, usually at the Clarendon Town Hall.
