This Thursday and Friday evening Peoples Academy Stage Company is presenting two one act plays, "Arrivals" by Jerome McDonough and "Elephant's Graveyard" by George Brandt. Doors open at 6:30 pm and performances begin at 7:00 pm. Delicious treats will be served at intermission. Admission is by donation. Your support means a lot to our actors, technicians and stage hands!
Arrivals is a contemporary adaptation of the 1775 Restoration Comedy "The Rivals" by Richard Brinsley Sheridan. Pictures from Peoples' 1914 production can be found hanging on the wall of the auditorium. It is the oldest, or most historic, play that the stage company has performed since our production of "Midsummer Nights Dream" (by William Shakespeare) in 2012.
Elephant's Graveyard "buzzes with truth about the consequences of misunderstanding, the invisible but enormous gap between artists and their audiences, and the infernal beauty of vaudeville." For additional information please visit our website at pastageco.org .
