St Johnsbury's OLLI Spring lecture series begins Thursday with a luncheon at 12:30 followed by a wonderful program on Vermont's Musical Ladies: A Sheet Music Sampler presented by Linda Radke accompanied by Arthur Zorn. Linda explores the contributions of VT. women to the traditions of parlor songs, women's club contests, and social reform efforts. You may recognize Linda from her program on VPR Classical or as a member of Counterpoint choral group.
We begin each semester with a delicious luncheon prepared by the Culinary Arts students at St Johnsbury Academy which is included in a membership or by donation for others. Membership for each semester is $30 or $6 per single lecture which can be paid at the door. Catamount Arts on Eastern Ave, St Johnsbury is the location of the luncheon and lectures. Home school students with an interest in the topic are welcome. Lectures will continue for 8 weeks usually from 1:30 to 3:00 pm with an exception on April 4 which will be held at Brantview Mansion on St J Academy campus at 1:00 pm.
