Following the final show of the RUHS school play on Saturday, 16 March (The Diana Tapes starts at 2pm) the French Travel Group is sponsoring a Community Dinner, Game Night, and Silent Auction to help support our trip to Montréal and Québec City. The play should be over around 4pm; the dinner-doors in the cafeteria will be open at 4:30.
• We offer you a meal of spaghetti, meatballs (optional), bread, and salad. The dinner is at no cost to attendees. French students will be making beignets (French donuts) and Belgian waffles available for a donation. There will be drinks for sale as well as other snacks and goodies offered by donation.
• For a small donation per game, the Game Night will begin shortly after dinner has been served, featuring BINGO (with fun prizes) and other fun group games.
• A small Silent Auction of craft items, themed baskets, new, donated items (cookware, small appliance, etc.) will begin when dinner is served and continue until around 7:00pm when we will distribute the auction items. There is still time; if you have nice items to donate, we will happily accept your kind donation of auction items!
• This event will be mostly wrapped up enough in time for those of you who plan to attend the music show at the Chandler that starts at 7:30pm. Those who wish to linger and play games are welcome until around 8:30pm.
• We will accept your cash, check, and/or credit donations to RUHS French Program with our profound thanks.
An RSVP is requested by Wednesday evening (not strictly required) as it will be very important to gauge turnout and preparation. Please send a quick email with your intent to attend and the number of your party to dgoulet@orangesouthwest.org or the email address in this posting.
The French Travel Group is excited to welcome you to this event. It is sure to be a great night and we will be grateful for your support! We look forward to hearing your intent to join us. Merci and Geaux Gheausts!
