Preview of March 11 Council Meeting

Past event
Mar 11, 2019, 7 to 9:30 PM

Dear Neighbors,

My apologies for my delay in posting this preview. Tomorrow, the City Council will hold the first of two meetings for the month of March.

The City Council meeting will begin in Contois Auditorium in City Hall with an expected Executive Session on the sale of Burlington Telecom from 6 to 7pm.

Following this Executive Session, we will move on to the rest of our agenda. We have a relatively short agenda as Monday evening with four items on our deliberative agenda. While brief in terms of the number of items, we will be voting on the authorization to execute closing documents for the sale of Burlington Telecom.

• We will be voting on the appointment of a new Assistant City Attorney.
• We will hear a presentation from John Tashiro, the General Manager of City Market. This is one of the Council's most anticipated presentations because we get an update on the operations of one of Burlington's most impressive successful ventures.
• We will then be voting on the Burlington Telecom sale documents.
• Our last item is a communication from the City Attorney regarding the approval of the settlement of a Fire grievance.

Please keep in mind that you are always welcome to come to a Council meeting and speak on any topic you wish during public forum. This begins at a time certain of 7:30pm at every Council meeting. You may access the Council agenda at http://www.boarddocs.com/vt/burlingtonvt/Board.nsf/Public Please note that all Council meetings are televised live on BT Channel 317 and streamed live to your computer or phone. Please go to youtube and type in "Burlington City Council meetings" and the live stream will come up.

As always, I welcome your questions and concerns. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

My best,
Karen
