The E. Montpelier and Calais Historical Societies will meet on Monday, March 18 at 6:00 p.m. at the Recreation Hall, in E. Calais Village, beginning with a potluck supper. Please bring a dish to share and your own place setting.
Beverages will be provided. At 7:00, the program will be a panel presentation about work being done in Calais by the Calais Historic Preservation Commission.
This group has acquired significant funding to help restore their Town Hall in Gospel Hollow. They are also working to gain recognition of E. Calais village as a National Register Historic District.
Discussion may also include the prospect of creating such a district within Adamant village. Business meetings will follow the program. All portions of this gathering are free and open to the public.
