MAD ABOUT BLUE
Charlotte Albers
On Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at 1 pm at The Residence at Otter Creek, Charlotte Albers of Paintbox Garden will discuss how to bring blue into your gardens and create beautiful combinations. From spring to late summer stunners, we'll look at a range of plants including many annuals that are great for containers, perennials like delphinium and phlox, and early spring ephemerals which can be used to usher in the new season and add a welcome look to entry walks or paths through a woodland. Charlotte is a contributor to Houzz and writes for numerous garden publications; she uses her gardens in Shelburne as a lab for study and experimentation and is always planning new color pairings in her trials.
Charlotte Albers studied botany and plant taxonomy at the U.S. National Arboretum, holds certificates in Horticulture and Landscape Design from the USDA Graduate School in Washington, D.C. and completed the Master Gardener program through Virginia Cooperative Extension. She currently serves as curator of the Pollinator Garden at the University of Vermont's Horticulture, Education and Research Center in South Burlington.
The Residence at Otter Creek is located at 350 Lodge Road, Middlebury, VT.
