The Society for Creative Anachronism's (SCA) Shire of Panther Vale will be hosting the Studium Generale, a day of hands on medieval classes, held on March 23rd from 9am to 5pm at the Space on Main in Bradford, VT.

The SCA is an international non-profit educational organization, dedicated to the preservation, research and recreation of the crafts, arts, and experiences of the Middle Ages and Renaissance.

Unlike a Renaissance Faire, the SCA is participatory – no-one is simply a spectator. All the attendees play a part in creating the atmosphere by reenacting whatever aspects of the Middle Ages and Renaissance interest them the most. This means that at SCA events, you are expecting to wear garb.

Don't have garb? No worries! SCA events often have something called Gold Key, which is loaner garb. The Studium will have this available for any new people. It is helpful to contact chatelaine@panthervale.eastkingdom.org to let the person overseeing Gold Key know you will need it.
