At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, tri-state fans of Early Music are invited to All Souls Church, 29 South St., West Brattleboro, for a benefit concert of airs, arias, madrigals, and tonos entitled "Love's Harvest." The trio Night's Black Bird, from Allentown, Penn., was formed in 2017 and first performed to rave reviews in Brattleboro in March of last year. This season, their program of 16th- and 17th-century songs, with accompaniment on lute, Baroque guitar, and bass viola da gamba, includes works by John Dowland, Thomas Campion, Giulio Caccini, Lucretia Vizana, Francesca Caccini, José Marín, Barbara Strozzi, and Juan Hidalgo. Admission at the door is $15 per person and includes a gala reception; proceeds will help support ASC community-based programs and the Meeting House. For further information, call the church office weekday mornings at 802-254-9377.
