The 24th Burlington Irish Heritage Festival brings the best of Irish culture to the Burlington area, March 2-25, 2019. Join us for participatory dance workshops and Ceili dancing, poetry, history, concerts, a photography exhibit, Irish language lessons, a tin whistle workshop, children's crafts and instrument petting zoo, a genealogy workshop, and the Festival Ceili on March 17th- an afternoon of live music and dancing for the entire family. Of special interest is a talk on Brexit and the Good Friday Agreement by the Irish Consul General from Boston. Most events are free admission (by donation). All are open to the public. Tickets are available for the annual Festival fundraising "Luck of the Irish" Raffle, with the prize being a trip for two to Ireland including airfare, accommodations, and car rental. The Festival is made possible through close collaboration with Young Tradition Vermont and many other local organizations. See the full schedule at burlingtonirishheritage.org
The festival kicks off this weekend with two events at the Richmond Free Library. Check the web site for details.
