Yestermorrow Speaker Series: Dynamic Garden Design

Past event
Mar 7, 2019, 7 to 8 PM

How can people use plants to beautify their homes and towns while also providing other important natural benefits? Britton Rogers, Design/Build Faculty at Yestermorrow, will speak about using creative garden design and native plants to make landscapes not only beautiful, but also useful. We'll see examples of beautiful edible plants, as well as ornamental plants that provide food and medicine, help retain water, improve soil health, offer shade, create wildlife habitat, improve biodiversity, feed pollinators, and process toxins.
Britton teaches Yestermorrow's Design/Build Semester along with other classes throughout the year, including Edible Garden Design and Installation. Questions will be welcomed, and treats from the YesterKitchen will be served following the talk.
This event is part of Yestermorrow's 2019 Speaker Series, on select Thursdays February through May.
