Celebrate the St. Patrick's Day Season with a rare local performance of Middlebury's own Irish-American band O'hAnleigh at Town Hall Theater on Friday March 14th, 7:30 p.m. Band members Tom Hanley, Becca Hanley and Cindy Hill of Middlebury, and Doug Riley of Burlington (formerly of the band Mary's Lane) will be joined by Margie Bekoff of Weybridge on the harp, and special guest Steve Bentley, bodhran player/vocalist from the UK's festival band Greenman Rising, is flying over from the Midlands to play with us for St. Pat's week. Along with our usual sing-along favorites, toe-tapping fiddle tunes and haunting historical ballads, Margie will lift us up with a taste of the three sacred strains of Irish harp music and Steve will take us straight to the dockside watering holes with some sea shanties and ballands in the growling London pubsong tradition.
