Join us at Middlebury College for our first lecture in a speaker series celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 40th anniversary of US-China relations!

Changyong Rhee, the director of the Asia and Pacific Department of the International Monetary Fund, will talk about Asia's response to near-term global headwinds. These include escalating trade tension, faster-than-expected monetary policy normalization of advanced economies as well as medium-term challenges arising from declining productivity growth and aging population. This timely event will come off the heels of the deadline of the Sino-American Trade Negotiations as well as the Second Trump-Kim Summit.

The lecture will be at the Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs at 148 Hillcrest Road in Middlebury. More information is available here: https://www.facebook.com/events/2160911600667746/
