If you read Seven Days, you are familiar with "Rachel Lives Here Now," Rachel Lindsay's weekly comic strip. The Waterbury Library is pleased to host Rachel for a cartooning workshop for young people 10-20 years. Explore the art of cartooning, developing character, scenario and plot. This workshop is part of the library's Vermont Reads activities. The Vermont Humanities Council has chosen the graphic novel, March: Book One as their 2019 Read. Tying in with the genre, we are presenting this cartooning workshop.

Lindsay is the author of the recently published RX: A Graphic Memoir (2018), a intimate and vulnerable look at her bipolar disorder. She travels widely, speaking about her memoir at universities, libraries and medical centers, and teaches comics to adults and children in the Champlain Valley.
