Pierce's Store will be hosting a wine tasting featuring some excellent wines from our very own brave little state. Vermont is in the vanguard of the natural wine movement which strives for minimal chemical and technological intervention in growing and making wine. We'll be offering a full-bodied all-natural wine from Iapetus -- a new label created by Shelburne Vineyard -- for $23.99. New cold-hardy grape varieties with superb wine-making characteristics are allowing Vermont vintners to produce some quality wines. We'll showcase: a spicy Petite Pearl from Shelburne Vineyard for $17.99; a fruity St. Croix from Fresh Tracks Farm (Berlin VT) for $15.99 and a well-rounded Marquette also from Fresh Tracks which we were able to get on sale for an incredibly low $9.99.
