Announcement and Notice of Meeting
We are happy to announce the formation of MRPS Partners in Education Corporation(MRPSPIE), (awaiting approval of 501c3 status) whose mission is to provide opportunities for enrichment at Montpelier Roxbury Public Schools, build community, and serve as a vehicle for information and advocacy for parents and the community at large. In addition, MRPSPIE will be a vehicle to help organize, support and increase fundraising potential for each of the parents groups.
Montpelier-Roxbury School District parent groups are committees of MRPSPIE, each able to manage their own fundraisers. The Corporation will be managed by a Board of Directors comprised of at least one representative from each of the parent groups (Union Elementary Parents Group, Roxbury Village School Parent Teacher Organization, Main Street Middle School Parent Advisory Group and Montpelier High School Boosters).
Notice of first meeting: Friday February 22, 2019 from 5:00 – 6:30 PM at
Montpelier High School Cafeteria. The purpose of this meeting is to review and adopt bylaws and discuss financial structure. If you'd like a copy of the proposed bylaws, please contact Carolyn Desch at carolyn.desch59@gmail.com . We are actively looking for more Board members. You need not be a parent. Community members are encourage to join. Please consider joining us at the upcoming meeting or inquire more with any of the directors listed below.
