DUE TO THE SNOWSTORM OF LAST WEEK OUR MEETING WAS RESCHEDULED TO TUESDAY, MARCH 19TH

You are cordially invited to join us for our RESCHEDULED monthly general membership meeting to be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 7 pm - 8 pm at the NewBrook Fire Station. Please note: We will be meeting in the upstairs meeting room due to fire department training for new recruits til spring time.

OUR GUEST SPEAKER
Our guest speaker if Beatrice Birch, Founder and Board President of "Inner Fire", a residential treatment center located at 26 Parker Road, Brookline, VT. The non-profit organization's mission is as a proactive healing community offering a choice for adults to recover from debilitating and traumatic life challenges without the use of psychotropic medications. Inner Fire will be hosting an Open House on Tuesday, February 19 at 2:15 pm. MEMBERSHIP & GUESTS WELCOME
We welcome visitors and potential new members to learn about our club's community service and 50th Anniversary plans for 2019. Our motto is "We Serve" our communities through the West River Valley towns of Newfane, Brookline, Townshend, Jamaica and Wardsboro.

We are celebrating our 50th Anniversary in 2019 and we are looking for people, articles, photo's, etc from our club's history. Should you have any memories, memorabilia or other items you wish to share with our club as we put together our scrapbook, kindly send us an email to valleylions1969@gmail.com or contact Shelly Huber, Club President at (802) 221-0536.

SERVICE PROJECTS OFFERED

SAND PAILS FOR SENIORS - We do have sand pails available for those Seniors or disabled vets or other individuals. Please contact us for pick up on RT 30.

EYEGLASSES FOR THOSE IN NEED
We do offer to those who are financially unable to purchase new prescription eyeglasses a new pair of glasses. If you do not live within our service area, we can still assist you in getting new glasses.

SCHOLARSHIPS TO LELAND & GRAY GRADUATES
We annually provide to 2-3 Freshman a grant to support their 1st year into a higher education training or college program. Applications available now.
