Past event
Feb 19, 2019, 7 to 10 PM

Dear Neighbors,

Due to the President's Day holiday, this Tuesday, the City Council will hold the second of two meetings for the month of February.

The City Council meeting will begin in Contois Auditorium in City Hall with an expected Executive Session on the Airport from 6 to 7pm.

Following this Executive Session, we will move on to the rest of our agenda. We have a relatively short agenda as Monday evening with five items on our deliberative agenda. While brief in terms of the number of items, we will be voting on moving forward with the proposal for Moran.

• We will be voting to accept and approve the FY2018 Audit for the City.
• We will hear a presentation on the City's 2018 Equity Report. This report's goal is to link services and programs provided by the City to population-level indicators in an effort to being assessing comprehensively how and where the City can identify gaps and enhance operations to equitably serve our community. The report can be found here: https://www.boarddocs.com/vt/burlingtonvt/Board.nsf/files/B9DP9N5597C8/$file/Burlington_2018[...]pdf
• Our next two resolutions relate to the Moran FRAME project. The first is an authorization to proceed with the project using Waterfront TIF funds for the payment of indebtedness and costs. The second resolution will be for the issuance of TIF funding.
• Our last item is a presentation on planBTV that will incorporate edits to the draft document. This will be another opportunity for public input before our anticipated vote to adopt the plan in early March.

Please keep in mind that you are always welcome to come to a Council meeting and speak on any topic you wish during public forum. This begins at a time certain of 7:30pm at every Council meeting. You may access the Council agenda at http://www.boarddocs.com/vt/burlingtonvt/Board.nsf/Public Please note that all Council meetings are televised live on BT Channel 317 and streamed live to your computer or phone. Please go to youtube and type in "Burlington City Council meetings" and the live stream will come up.

As always, I welcome your questions and concerns. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

My best,
Karen
