This event is on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at 1:30pm at the Lamoille County Civic Center (24 Main Street, Morrisville – next to Cumberland Farms). It is part of the "Celebrating Life in Vermont" series of presentations sponsored by Lamoille County Civic Association through a grant from the United Way.
Eric Nuse, a retired Fish & Wildlife Warden who took over from Warden Red Hooper at the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Deptartment in 1972, will recount his exciting adventures attempting to patrol the Lamoille County Wild.
In his 16 years in the field covering Lamoille County Eric met lots of interesting folks, some of which he escorted to jail, but most became his friends. There were lots of encounters with rambunctious coons, love-lorn moose and hungry bears. Some of his best known stories are in the "Vermont Wild" books which are currently being considered for a TV series. Since retiring from the Fish and Wildlife Department, Eric stays busy serving on hunting and conservation organization boards and getting outside with his bird dog, by canoe and on foot.
This event is free and all are welcome. For more information call Maxine Adams at 730-7485.
