Annual Central VT Seed Swap

Past event
Feb 16, 2019, 10 AM to 1 PM

Yay! It's that time of year again ... time for the annual Central VT Seed Swap. Gather any seeds you may have saved from last year's harvest, or some interesting ones you've discovered, and come to the rite of Spring that tickles your green thumb; YOUR Seed Swap. Please label your seeds ... folded up & taped in anything from small envelopes to a scrap of brown paper bag, to a zip lock baggie. You will have the chance to say as little or as much as you like about your offering. Don't have any set aside? NO problem. Thanks to the generosity of the good folks at High Mowing Seeds, we will have enough seeds for everyone to be able to take some home ... yes, gratis ... free. Thanks, High Mowing!

We will be gathering again this year at the Presbyterian Church in Barre, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This year we will enter through the Summer St. entrance (vs the usual Seminary St. door).
The pot luck will be light ... healthy snacks, etc. Traditionally we have a speaker or two, to offer a bit of a chat on garden related topics, and this year in addition I'm going to offer the floor to anyone who might have a cool gardening idea to share, or just a warming garden story to tell.

I thank the the Pastor of the Church via emptying the donation jar into an envelope that gets handed over to him. I take nothing for helping to make this happen ... except the joy that comes with knowing that I may have helped awaken or affirm a green thumb or two.

From beautiful fragrant flowers to the harvest of the best fresh food on the planet; gardening offers a sense of food security, and feeds us on so many other levels. See you there :)
