Coming up Thursday on Goddard College Community Radio - a Valentine's Day special on love in unusual families.
9:00 - 10:00 am
After two years of waiting to adopt—years spent slogging through paperwork and bouncing between hope and despair—a miracle finally happened for Vanessa McGrady. Her sweet baby, Grace, was a dream come true. Then she made a highly uncommon decision: when Grace's biological parents became homeless, Vanessa invited them to stay. McGrady tells a little of this family's story—with a cameo appearance by Grace. McGrady recently told her story in Rock Needs River: A Memoir of a Very Open Adoption.
