Hi Folks,
Kathy Olwell, East Disrict School Commissioner and I have been given some time during the Wards 1 & 8 NPA meeting Wednesday, February 13th, to discuss the proposed FY 20 School District budget, a 4.36% increase. We will do our best to explain the budget request. The new budget includes money for Kindergarten paraprofessionals, special education teachers, elementary interventionists, elementary social workers, middle school guidance, EL and multilingual liaison support, support for restorative practices roll out, and a district-wide security system design.
