"Agape Feast". SAY WHAT?
Agape [ah-gah-pey] noun
• Unselfish love of one person for another; brotherly love
• The love of God for humankind
• Love Feast
Origin: First recorded in 1600–10, AGAPE is from the Greek word agápē 'love'
A traditional Italian dish will be served in honor of "Saint Valentine of Rome", a Roman saint and priest who ministered to Christians who were persecuted there and who is the reason we celebrate Valentine's Day.
Saint Valentine (Italian: San Valentino, Latin: Valentinus), officially Saint Valentine of Rome, was a widely recognized 3rd-century Roman saint commemorated on February 14 and since the High Middle Ages is associated with a tradition of courtly love.
Come enjoy this Community dinner and bring your Valentine, your friends, neighbors and family!
Donations to help offset costs will be accepted and appreciated.
