As is the case +/- during the School Year; the Willey Building in downtown Cabot Village is the site for the "real deal" in Contra & Square Dance. Second Saturday of the month (this coming Saturday). Get there a bit earlier if you think you need a few pointers, but understand that folks there are so happy to see newcomers ... everybody who has learned even just the basics - are always right there to help/give a friendly cue whenever they see someone who may need it. You can't go wrong with an evening at this place. Band starts at 7:30 p.m. sharp, and goes with very little break time, for a few hours. Bring non-street shoes (I've seen some dance in stocking feet) to wear on the dance floor. If you forget to bring your own water/beverage, there's usually some on the table there. Warning: It's easy to get hooked on this.
