Hemp Happening

March 19 6-9pm
Ilsley Public Library, Middlebury
Sponsored by Rural Vermont, Full Sun Company and Vote Hemp

The “Hemp Happening” event will include a discussion led by Netaka White of Full Sun Company in Middlebury, who will discuss processing hemp seed oil for Vermont farmers' hemp crop, in addition to processing other hemp products. Vote Hemp’s Eric Lineback and Rural Vermont Organizer Robb Kidd will give the most up to date info on how the Federal and Vermont laws apply to farmers interested in growing hemp. Special guest Rueben Stone, a fourth generation farmer in Lower Stafford Ontario, founder of Valley Bio Ltd, and a past director for the Canadian Hemp Trade Alliance, will also be there. There will also be a screening of the film “Bringing it Home,” a documentary about industrial hemp. This event is perfect for all those interested in how hemp can play an important role in Vermont's agricultural economy. For more information email Robb Kidd robb@ruralvermont.org.
