Hello local parents!
Are you getting worried about the world we are preparing to leave to our children and future grandchildren? Do you feel like the climate crisis is upon us?
If you do, and wonder how you can make a difference, there is a growing movement for you: Mother Up! No, it's not just for mothers, it's for all parents who take our love and care for the natural world to the next level: we gather monthly to eat and talk about what matters, share our grief and our gratitudes, build community, and take action.
Mother Up! Will be at the State House on Thursday, February 14, to claim our love for the planet, and to plead our leaders to look at the big picture, and to take bold action, NOW. Join us!
You can attend all or part of the day, you can bring your children too: the State House is a great classroom, and saving the planet is an amazing lesson plan.
Below is our schedule, so that if you can't skip work, you could at least attend the lunch hour event, which some of Mother Up! Participants will do:
10-11: meet and greet, group activity
11-11:30: Press Conference with Lt David Zuckermann
12-1: Climate Caucus with pizza lunch (great for people working downtown)
1-2: recognition on the House floor, meet with legislators.
