Norwich University's Todd Lecture Series will host Ambassador L. Paul Bremer III for "America is still the Indispensable Nation," a vigorous defense of America's responsibilities globally, on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m. in Mack Hall auditorium. A Q&A and book signing will follow the lecture.
This event is free and open to the public. The lecture will also be streamed live online via tls.norwich.edu.
Bremer served as Ambassador to the Netherlands and Ambassador at Large for Counter Terrorism. After 9/11, he was appointed by to the President's Homeland Security Advisory Commission. He served as Presidential Envoy to Iraq from 2003-2004, where he was charged with beginning the country's political and economic reconstruction. His diplomatic service spanned the terms of eight presidents. He is a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom—the U.S.'s highest civilian honor.
