Beat those winter blues! Come see a great free show on Friday!

Join us at Carpenter-Carse Library on February 8th at 6:30 p.m. for an "Up Close and Personal" concert celebrating 55 years of writing and performing award-winning Vermont Story Songs.

Rick is a longtime Vermont songwriter and band leader, celebrating 56 years as a touring musician. His group, Rick & The All-Star Ramblers Western Swing Band, is currently receiving national attention, radio and internet airplay, thanks to recognition by the Academy of Western Artists who honored them with their Western Swing Song of the Year award in 2015 and over the past few years, several nominations in their Western Swing Band of the Year and Album of the Year categories. Rick has released seven albums over the years with the majority of each containing songs he has written about Vermont. Barb Heller on her String Fever show on North Country Public Radio and WDEV in Waterbury regularly plays his tunes as does Robert Resnik on his All The Traditions show on VPR.

Have a look at Rick's web site at www.rickandtheramblers.com for more information.
