Plastic has become a major problem, especially in the oceans. Photos of sea animals killed by eating quantities of plastic are disturbing to say the least.

We can help by banning single use plastic bags in Vergennes. Let's start by learning more about the problem. Members of the group that is banning plastic bags in Middlebury will be here to speak about this at the Bixby library at 6:30pm on Feb. 18th. We are looking for interested people and volunteers to help solve this in Vergennes.
